Program Objective
The primary objective is to prepare graduate or entry level positions in the business office environment as Administrative Assistants, Customer Service, Representative, or Receptionists
Course Offered
Module I : Computer Basics
Intro to Office Environment
This course is a detailed presentation of microcomputer hardware and software and the Window operating system and environment. Students learn computer components and terminologies and how to operate the computer and peripherals. Students also learn how to create simple
documents using word processing software and how to effectively use the internet and writing email.
Understanding the Office Environment
This course covers the basic aspects and protocols required for success in the office environment.
Module 2 : Office Automation
Basic Word Processing
This course provides a basic introduction to Word Processing and a basic understanding of Microsoft Word for
windows.
Basic Spreadsheets
This course provides a basic introduction to the use of spreadsheets in the office setting and a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel for windows.
Basic Business Writing
This course provides a basic introduction to business writing and correspondence and prepares the student for composing memos, faxes, basic letters, and basic
office reports.
Office Email and Internet working
This course provides a basic introduction to the use office Email and use of the office intranet. A basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook is also covered.
Advanced Internet Use and Navigation
This course covers a basic understanding of navigating the Internet using the popular Netscape and Microsoft Explorer browsers. Basic use of Internet Email, locating and retrieving information, Internet Search Engines, using the World Wide Web, and other popular Internet tools for maximizing results.
Module 3 : Microsoft Office
Advanced Microsoft Word
This course covers the latest features. How to create and edit documents using character and paragraph formatting.
How to manage auto text entries, styles, templates, macros, text entries, styles, templates, macros, merging and
multiple columnar formats, mail merge. Use of Graphics, OLE, and text to construct powerful presentation documents.
Advanced Microsoft Excel
This course covers the latest features of the latest version of Microsoft Excel for Windows and provides an advanced level
understanding of Microsoft Excel for Windows. Students will learn how to create worksheets, macros, charts, and
pivot tables. Students are taught how to create charts to graphically represent worksheet data, and how to maintain and manage lists. The course will also cover in detail how to customize their work areas and create advanced formulas.

Lesson 1: Starting MS Powerpoint

Lesson 2: Create new slide show
● Insert a slide and text
● Insert chart: diagram and table

Lesson 4 :Preparing and delivering a presentation
